Lil’ Alis Special Super Bowl Edition!
January 30, 2009
So maybe you’re all Tampa Bay tailgating ‘rah-rah shish boom bah’ when it comes to big event sport season, or maybe you just indulge for the hot wings and camaraderie, or perhaps you’re like Cardinals who? Either way, our resident lifestyle expert Lil Alis has got you covered for this year’s Super Bowl Sunday starring St. Louis and Pittsburgh! Check out her advice for this weekend.
Hey Lil Alis, my girls love sports! We’re all about the Super Bowl. This year I’m hosting the party at my house. What can I do to give the mainly male gathering a feminine touch?
Looking for a feminine touch, are we? I have to say, why make a Super Bowl party feminine? Keep it rugged and manly - isn’t that why you and your girls like sports? For the manliness of it all? Get down and dirty just like the fellas. Drink your brews and eat your wings and cheer right along with them. Wear your jerseys or cheerleader outfits - whatever floats your (and your man’s boat) and have a blast. Save the regular girly goods and feminine fun for next weekend at the spa or something. Peace out.
Hi Lil Alis, we have this wonderful theater we put in the basement of our new home and of course my husband has offered up our home for the Super Bowl viewing. What can I prepare? Should I get some help? There will be five men, their wives and their children all running around my house. I look forward to this but with frustration. Please help!

Well pictures of a very visible baby belly budge on Kimora arrived on the internet within the last 24 hours as the fashion designer and Fabulosity mogul made her way to work meetings reportedly in Mexico City.
Kimora is looking fit and for lack of a better word - fabulous through her pregnancy which judging from the pictures must be some months in. This will be the third child for Kimora. She has two daughters, Ming and Aoki Lee by her ex-husband and music mogul Russell Simmons. Congratulations again!

Charli B-More Speaks on Notorious! “Ugly Betty” in Trouble?
January 28, 2009
Lots of gossip swirling about for the top of the year…Could Kelly Rowland have really fired Mathew Knowles as her manager?..Hard times call for tough choices: Japan will not see Janet on the “Rocwitchu” Tour…And SMH if it’s true- the parents of Slumdog Millionaire child actors claim children were exploited…And what’s going on America? Is “Ugly Betty” in trouble?…Charli Baltimore speaks on Notorious, here is a juicy snippet:
AllHipHop.com: They showed some violent scenes between Lil’ Kim and Big. Did you witness any of that?
Charli Baltimore: The only violence I ever saw was a situation where Big and I were together on the bus and my clothes were strewn all over the bus and I couldn’t figure out why…I didn’t know what was going on at the time. I said, “Why are my clothes all over the bus like this? They were folded up nice and neat.” We were in the back of the bus and I walked off the bus and when I was coming back on…Kim was getting kicked off the bus…foot to her butt, onto the ground. She had rummaged through my clothing, Big was upset about it and he kicked her on the butt off the bus. That was the only violence I’ve ever seen between them.

Beautiful Day!
January 20, 2009
In the immortal words of quintessential rock band U2, “It’s a beautiful day/don’t let it get away…”
Today was, for lack of an unused word, historic. A groundbreaking day in so many ways. As the whole world knows, Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States of America. He is the first African-American (in the true sense of the term), and the first cool as ice (save Clinton, perhaps) individual to run the country in my lifetime.
While millions descended upon Washington D.C. simply to witness this monumental event and also to have a most intriguing story to add to their personal catalogues, the entire world was celebrating and rejoicing in the progress we have made as human beings.
To be very honest, I’m emotionally overwhelmed which means I am at a lost for words of impact.
While some of the Martini Pink ladies posted up in the
nation’s capital, a few others of us, who graduated from Columbia University (as did President Obama - doesn’t that sound fantabulous??) headed uptown for a very special event. We were joined by students, alumni, faculty, friends, and fans of the Lions on “The Steps” next to Alma Mater, where we watched the proceedings. Smiling brightly, we ingested a moment that will forever change our lives. We stood, in the cold, with our hot chocolates in tow, ecstatic and proud to be Americans.
God Bless the Obama’s. God Bless America.
