Why Don’t You Love Me?

May 8, 2010

beyonce-yay2B’s back at it again. Just days ago she released a video for the song “Why Don’t You Love Me?” Starring as B.B. Homemaker (that was a nod to “Mad Men” for those of you who check the series), B gets her sexy housewife look on .. a look that Sade is borrowing these days as well. Despite popular confusion, this song is from Bey’s I Am… Sasha Fierce album and was written by sis Solange. What do you think?

Beyonce “I Am…” Tour Costumes!

March 30, 2009

We picked these sketches up over at our good friend Greasy Guide’s site. It appears that fashion designer Thierry Mugler has been tapped as Creative Director for Beyonce’s “I Am…” world tour. That means Thierry is responsible for the edgy, metallic, rock star, and clearly Grace Jones’ inspired wears. For more Beyonce dates click here.

Back to Back Brown Beauty

March 16, 2009

Things are certainly changing. For the first time Vogue magazine is featuring two Black women on the cover of the magazine on back to back issues. Michelle Obama graced the cover of the March issue wearing a Jason Wu getup and Beyonce Knowles is taking on the April issue which is the “Shape Issue.” Perhaps it won’t be taboo to see more women of color on the front of the fashion rag.

Beyonce New Videos “Halo” & “Diva”!

December 23, 2008

Merry Christmas & Happy Hanukah & Happy Kwanzaa! Beyonce’s got two new videos out just in time for the holidays. Despite our notion that the singer would oly be releasing “Diva” which she recently shot in Los Angeles, she’s gone a different route. She’s released TWO videos for the price of one, once again. The fierce and fabulous “Diva” and the beautiful ballad “Halo” an ode to her love angel (wonder who that might be). In the first video it is the quite handsome Michael Ealy. Well, if you know like I know- check out the videos right now because Bey’s clips don’t last long on the internet!

Gabrielle Union: New Show & “Cadillac Records” Premiere Pics

December 2, 2008

caddy-rec-7Stunning star Gabrielle Union has teamed up with Executive Producer Frank Spotnitz of “X-Files” fame to develop what is called a procedural drama where Gabrielle will play a detective without time on her side as she races to save lives. This is not the first time the two have worked together. Gabrielle and Frank were in cahoots for the short lived “Night Stalker” back in 2005.

Gabrielle also had quite the glamorous evening in New York City as she showed up with her co-workers for the premiere or Cadillac Records last night at the 19th Street AMC Theaters. The film, which also stars Beyonce as Etta James, Adrien Brody, Mos Def and Jeffrey Wright, opens in theaters this Friday.
