Here Comes Baby in the Baby Carriage…

Congratulations to Usher and Tameka Raymond on the birth of their second child. According to the superstar’s representative, the two welcomed their second child together - a baby boy named Naviyd Ely Raymond Wednesday at 2:33am. He weighed in at a reported 5lbs and 13 ounces. Despite his busy schedule, Usher was rumored to have been at his wife’s side at the time of delivery. Usher and Tameka have been married for a year and the couple’s first son is named Usher Raymond V. We wish the growing family the best!

Usher & Tameka Expecting!

According to People Magazine, Usher and Tameka are officially expecting their second child. Usher and Tameka welcomed a baby boy – Usher Raymond V, which they call Cinco, last year along with their marriage. Now amongst rumors that the two are on the brink of divorce it has been revealed, by a friend close to the couple, that Tameka is expecting. Usher has also reestablished ties with his mother Jonetta Patton, and brought her back into the fold as his manager alleviating the duties of Bennie Medina.

Blige is being sued for an allegedly stolen song on her album Growing Pains… Has Ashanti gone too far in this get-up? Slow day… that’s all we got ladies…

Usher & Baby Usher Cover Essence Magazine

As we previously reported would happen… Usher and his son, Usher Raymond V have made the cover of Essence Magazine. How cute is this little boy?

In other news, Rush & Molloy are reporting that Usher has been having “secret” talks with his mother Jonetta Patton to perhaps come out of mom-ager retirement. Now, this is all speculation but the mill is saying that Usher is not one bit happy with his nearly gold (400+) first week album sales of Here I Stand, how his current manager Benny Medina is handling things, and the fuel to the fire- Lil’ Weezy’s 1 Milli + first week sales.

Therefore, Usher is supposed to be having these “talks” with his mother about the future of his career and perhaps rejoining his team. Secret talks with your mother? Maybe she does know something about marketing Usher that Benny doesn’t… but in my opinion Usher’s first week sales were fantastic considering that everyone had “try-vertised” the album through unofficial downloads…We’ll see how this one progresses…

Tameka & Usher Deny Divorce Rumors

Yesterday, in a real case of He Said, She Said, the blogs as well as some websites went wild with rumors that Tameka and Usher may be calling it a quits after less than a year of marriage. Of course we were reluctant to post the story because there was basically no official information that backed up this allegation… Plus, long before this website was launched Usher and Tameka had taken an unnecessary beating particularly in the celebrity focused blogosphere. We’ve always taken the stance that even though we don’t know Usher or Tameka personally, it’s unfortunate.

More so than anything, if you look at some of the comments posted over the last year in regards to their marriage, it’s sad to see how obsessed young (and some older ones, I’m sure) people are with aesthetics and the notions of beauty they have concocted. Since when does how a person look or his/her age determine whether or not they should marry another? Sure, as Hollywood has told us, typically the older curmudgeonly man gets the younger beautiful wife (and we assume it’s because of his money and power) and it’s a-ok. But when Usher takes an “unlikely” wife (simply because she’s older and previously married) all hell breaks loose.

Well this morning, a representative in Tameka and Usher’s camp put the smack down and confirmed that the two are not getting a divorce. Our good friends over at All Hip Hop have added that they’ve heard Tameka will be firing back and that the Raymond family will be featured in an upcoming spread in Essence magazine… So, on a good note, you will get to see little Usher up close and personal.
